Welcome
Your Guide to the Agriculture and Earth Observation World

From Space to the Field
Through my newsletter and beyond, Easy Observations is here to fill the gap in the understanding and knowledge around two critical industries that try to work together constantly yet have a hard time accomplishing it. Agriculture and Earth Observation.
Every week I put together a general newsletter called Easy Observations that explores news, ideas, thoughts, complaints, the past, and the future of EO and AG with some comedy and reality thrown in. I'm open to bring other individuals and businesses into the conversation within my newsletter or beyond through other media options.
Working directly in both of these industries for over 20 years I've gained a good amount of experience in learning the business nuances in Ag and EO. Some of it was through luck, some through hard work, but also hardship. All these things culminate in a unique way where I can help you and your group understand these areas better.
Through my travels and work, I've connected with many different businesses and professionals along the way. I've tried to keep in contact with many of these people still and all while keeping the trust. I hope to use these connections to help connect you to this unique world and guide others to it.
It's been a long and interesting road for me within Agriculture, but also within the Earth Observation industry (some will call it Imagery or even Remote Sensing). From growing up on a farm in central North Dakota, working from the start of Agtech, and seeing the EO industry evolve into private industry, I feel I can help showcase what is there, what was, and what is missing for those who seek it.
History and Reality are my main thought processes when it comes to Ag and EO. The reason is because there is so much to learn from the past in what happened and what did and didn't work that is critical to understanding where we go in these industries. That then leads to a clear reality from my perspective which through my unique observations will help guide others to a better thought process.
Why not right? Well, the biggest reason why I might be the guy to help your group comes down to a few main key items: Knowledge, Connections, but mainly Sacrifice. I've lived the pain that Ag and EO, especially combined, have gone through. The understanding of risk and the entrepreneur spirit of these industries is hard to come by especially being in the lions den for many years. It helps build perspective and one that I can help others navigate through easier than most.
